22 Sundays

When Rob first left I started counting the Sundays till he would come home. At the time it seemed like A LOT of Sundays…51 was my personal goal. That would bring Rob home to us the weekend before Max’s first birthday.

Now we have heard NOTHING on when they will head back to the beautiful state of OK filled with families and friends but our goal, our date that we are looking forward to as a HOPEFUL homecoming date is Max’s birthday, October 16th.

So with that date in mind we only have 22 Sundays left until we get to see Daddy! 22 is doable, it doesn’t seem so bad, we are only 3 Sundays away from the teens…I think when we hit ten I will start a weekly countdown. I try not to pay much attention to the calendar because time crawls by so slowly. Instead we live our life, we work, we play, we eat, we dance, we giggle, we walk, we go to the zoo, to the Arts Festival, out to dinner with friends, to the house of family, we love, laugh and learn and then we look at the calendar and time has passed. Precious time enjoying the baby that Max is before he becomes a boy and time that only brings us closer to Rob being home with us.

So 22 isn’t such a bad number, it’s a heck of a lot better than 51, don’t you think?
